NBSA AGM AWARDS
STUDENT ADVOCATE OF THE YEAR
Awarded annually to a student from NBSA membership institutions for outstanding leadership, and support of their peers in activities within their own institution and outside that help champion the common goal of improving the quality of post-secondary education in New Brunswick.
Eligibility:
A nominee for Student Advocate of the Year must not have received the award in the past.
The nominee must enroll in NBSA member institution and must not serve on the NBSA Board of Directors.
The award recipient will be selected and announced at the NBSA AGM in April 2023.
OUTSTANDING COMMUNITY CONTRIBUTION
Awarded annually to an organization/ community group/ or individuals for outstanding contribution to the community that supports the advancement of the quality of post-secondary education in New Brunswick.
Eligibility:
The nominee must not have received the award in the past.
The nominee does not have to be a member/ member institutions of NBSA.
The award recipient will be selected and announced at the NBSA AGM.
INITIATIVE OF THE YEAR
Awarded annually to recognize an innovative or creative approach or project undertaken by a recognized club, organization, or individual(s) from NBSA member institutions - St. Thomas University, Mount Allison University & University of New Brunswick Saint John campus. This award was developed to identify and celebrate projects and initiatives that are not necessarily events or programs that contribute to the advancement of quality of post-secondary education in New Brunswick.
Eligibility:
The nominee must not have received the award in the past.
The award recipient will be selected and announced at the NBSA AGM.
Nomination process:
A nominee must be supported by at least two written nominations accompanied by contact information of the nominee/ organization.
Each written statement must clearly demonstrate the contributions the nominee has made to the communities that directly support post-secondary education and students.
Self-nominations are not accepted.
